2 Nights 3 Days Samburu
This tour takes you to the Samburu National Reserve from Nairobi, with astop at the Equatorial Crossing en-route. The Reserve is home to rareNorthern species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, and ReticulatedGiraffe. Inaddition, it has over 900 elephants, large predators, numerous birdspecies, and occasionally-sighted wild dogs. This tour is a must for wildlifephotography enthusiasts and naturalists visiting Africa.



Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu – Drive time 6+ hours
Pick-up at 0600 hrs from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and head towards Samburu via Thika, Nyeri, Nanyuki-Isiolo road. Short stopovers will be made for use of restrooms, at the equator viewpoint, and for refueling of the tour vehicle. Check-in for lunch and rest in the afternoon at Samburu Simba lodges camp at 1330 hrs.
Embark on an evening game drive from1630 hrs to 1800 hrs and then return to camp for dinner and to sleep.
Day 2: Samburu
Before breakfast, set out for a game drive from 0600 hrs to 0830 hrs. Be on the lookout for the rare northern species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Vulturine Guinea Fowl, and the Beisa Oryx (also referred to as the Samburu Special). Return to the camp.
After breakfast one is free to engage in personal recreational activities until lunchtime. Else, the traveler could join other groups for activities or set out to take a dip in the Buffalo Springs.
After an evening game drive from 1630 hrs to 1800 hrs, check back at the camp for dinner and sleepover.*Note Clients can opt for a full day game drive with picnic lunch
Day 3: Samburu-Nairobi Drive time 6+ hours
Set out for an early morning game drive before breakfast from 0600 hrs to 0800 hrs. Return to the camp for breakfast and to pack up your belongings. Leave for Nairobi at 1000 hrs. Make stopovers en-route, for use of restrooms, having lunch, or on request. Reach Nairobi by 1500 hrs to be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport
