Day 1
14:00 Commence your Tanzania adventurous safari driving from Arusha City Centre to Manyara passing through the Masai Steppe filled with many villages as well as Farms. The journey will be through stunning countryside on to the scenic escarpment where Manyara is located. This particular park is renowned for its incredible natural beauty and is definitely one of Tanzania’s brightest jewels. It is covered in forests and plains as well as the lakes. Expect to see a large variety of different animals such as the baboons, the blue monkeys, forest hornbills, bushbuck zebras, buffalo, wildebeest and many more. Day 2
07:00 Start your day with delicious hotel breakfast. 08:00 Take a fabulous Game Drive at Lake Manyara National Park. The shallow lake is part of the Natron-Manyara-Balangida Brach of The Great Rift Valley and sits at its base, a sparkling jewel of Tanzania. Famed by Ernest Hemingway who described it as the loveliest park he had seen in Africa, it covers 329 square km of land and is dotted with mud flats and vast plains. A compact game viewing area there is much to see and explore, from jungle to forest. There are blue monkeys, bushbuck and forest hornbill as well as larger mammals that live beneath the tall, graceful mahogany trees. View animals such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and klipspringers, see the fig trees standing tall above the forests and explore the Acacia woodland area. You should spot the famous tree-climbing lions, tusked elephants, leopards and mongoose roaming happily within jaw-dropping scenery. 12:00 Return to lodge for lunch or you may opt for a picnic lunch. 14:00 The journey continues North West across the stunning hilly countryside of the highlands which is filled with Farms, and then into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you’ll hopefully start spotting animals well before you get into the park. The Serengeti National Park is one of the world’s most famous Safari Parks and home to thousands of animals. The name means “Endless Plains” in the Maasai language and this park is simply magnificent. Often featured in adventure movies and definitely an inspiration to filmmakers, writers and photographers it is a must-do adventure when in Tanzania. 18:00 Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and overnight at SERENGETI (B.L.D) *travel/distance time approximately 5 hours/230 km (143 miles)
Day 3
06:00 Start your day with early breakfast. 07:00 After breakfast, you will experience the amazing Game Drive in The Serengeti National Park, famed as one of the most diverse wildlife areas in the world and featuring incredibly beautiful landscape. Within this National Park, there are over two million wildebeest. Additionally, the park is home to 250,000 zebra and 500,000 Thomson’s gazelle. The Serengeti National Park is home to The Great Serengeti Migration which occurs every year between The Serengeti National Park and the smaller Maasai Mara which is located in Kenya. The National Park is as big as Northern Ireland, to give you some idea of the sheer size of the expanse of land and it has an incredible ecosystem. If there’s one thing a visitors should do when visiting Tanzania; it has to be to witness The Serengeti National Park. 12:00 You will be brought back for lunch to the lodge or you may opt for a picnic lunch within the park. 14:00 Continue to explore the world’s best-known Natural Habitat that boasts significant beauty and a treasure trove of animals, birds, reptiles and insects. Day 4
07:00 Breakfast at the lodge/Camp. 08:00 After breakfast you depart for Ngorongoro with picnic lunch viewing game across the vast Serengeti plains. You have the option of passing through The Olduvai Gorge. This area is where many incredible archaeological discoveries have been found. It’s also a beautiful area with lush, grassy land and Tanzanian Acacia trees sweeping majestically on the landscape. 18:00 Enjoy a well earned dinner and overnight NGORONGORO or KARATU (B.L.D) *travel time/distance is approximately 3.5 hours/140 km (87 miles)
Day 5
06:00 Early breakfast at the lodge. 07:00 After breakfast, this morning as you depart to Explore the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world! The crater is home to over 25,000 large mammals and was the result of an erupted volcano thousands of years ago. The animals live in harmony in the huge, walled crater which also houses stunning lakes, lush forests and vast plains. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. It’s an awesome wildlife experience. 12:00 A picnic lunch is served overlooking a small lake populated with hippos. 14:00 The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and conservation area. It is located West of Arusha City. The Crater is one of Africa’s best places to see wildlife in its natural habitat. It is simply magnificent and has stayed the same for thousands of years.Within the deep walls of the crater you’ll find varieties of wildlife living there. They wander through the lakes and forests. Some of the wildlife to be seen are bull elephants, rhinos, lions, hyena, buffalo, wildebeest and so many more in all their magnificence. 18:00 Dinner and overnight NGORONGORO or KARATU (B.L.D)
