This is a 5 day Kenya safari departs from and returns to Nairobi.

The tour begins with a visit to The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club located high on the slopes of Africa’s second highest mountain and offers enormous range of excursions and activities.

Activities at the club include: game viewing on horseback, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, an animal orphanage,  nature walks with the Resident Naturalist and for the sturdy – climbing of Mount Kenya and much more.

The next stop is Lake Nakuru National Park which is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. It is also home to the largest number of black rhinos in Kenya.

The last stop is the Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is famous for its “Great Migration” of Wildebeests.

The Maasai Mara is the home of all members of the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and Black Rhinoceros).

Day 1 Nairobi – Drive to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

0800 Hours: Depart in the morning for the exclusive Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. This club was founded by Hollywood star William Holden going back several decades, and is now a Fairmont hotels property. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator in Nanyuki where you can take pictures, watch the demonstration of water running clockwise and counter-clockwise on either side of the equator. 1300 Hours: Arrive at the hotel check-in and proceed for a sumptuous buffet lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure. The Club offers several activities such as golf, horse riding and nature hikes. 1930 Hours: Enjoy a formal set-menu dinner in the evening. Day 2: Mount Kenya Safari Club – Lake Nakuru National Park

0800 Hours: Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley, upon arrival proceed on a game-drive. There are also a number of Rothschild's giraffe. Among the predators are lions and leopards, the later being seen much more frequently in recent times. The Park also has large sized python snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees. 1300 Hours: Lunch then relax as you enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Nakuru National Park. 1500 Hours: An exciting game drive is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park – Drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve

0800 Hours: This morning we depart the hotel after breakfast and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. 1300 Hours: Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. 1530 Hours: The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. 1830 Hours: Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Full Day in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Our full day in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve will be spared for the search of the big cats of the Maasai Mara and the spectacular view of the famous migration. All of the "Big Five" animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) can be spotted here. Herds of plains zebras are found throughout the park. Other animals include giraffes, jackals, gnus, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, Topi antelope, hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River. For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every color and size. More than 400 bird species have already been recorded, including birds of prey. You can enjoy a colorful view of birds such as vultures, ostriches, long-crested eagles, pygmy falcons, secretary birds, marabous, red-winged Schalow's turacos many others. Day 5: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Drive to Nairobi

0630 Hours: Our day starts with an early breakfast followed by a game drive where we can see the "Big Five" (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo). Others include zebras, antelope, gnus, Oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles and others. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. 1000 Hours: We return to the lodge/ camp to freshen up, check-out and depart for Nairobi by road. 1100 Hours: A leisurely scenic 5 hour drive brings us to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon (between 1800 Hours -1900 Hours).
