Drive to Aberdares national park

The Aberdare National Park, situated in the Aberdare Mountain Range in central Kenya to the east of the East African Rift Valley, encompasses the elevated regions and extends to the eastern Aberdare Salient.

Afternoon at leisure

Nestled within the heart of Aberdare National Park, The Ark is an iconic and charming destination. Overlooking a brilliantly lit waterhole and salt lick, it serves as a magnet for a magnificent array of wildlife. Designed in homage to Noah’s Ark, The Ark consists of three decks featuring multiple balconies and lounges, all strategically positioned for optimal wildlife viewing. To ensure you don’t miss any extraordinary animal encounters, a night guard is at your service to alert you when special wildlife visits the waterhole. The Ark offers four dedicated viewing areas to witness the perpetual bustle of animal activity.

Morning en-route game viewing as you drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

Arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed directly on a game drive.

Hot lunch and afternoon game drive 

Lake Nakuru bird life is world-renowned and offers over 400 species of both aquatic and terrestrial birds.

Lake Nakuru animals include Black and White Rhino, buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild’s giraffe, White and Black Colobus monkey, eland, steenbok, impala, Chandlers Reedbuck, dik-dik, rock hyrax, klipspringer, hippo and clawless otter.

This morning we depart the hotel after breakfast and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino.

Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive.

The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.

Residents among the Park’s are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Overnight at Mara Simba

Early morning breakfast and depart the lodge with your packed lunch boxes for a full day game viewing across the rich tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. At lunchtime, our guide will pick a scenic (and safe) spot where you will enjoy your lunch and hear animals howling, birds chirping and the mighty Mara River flowing across the savannah bringing life to the park. After watching more of the spectacle that never gets dull, transfer back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay in Mara Simba
