Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Giraffe Centre Visit & Hotel Check-in
Total drive time: approx. 1-1.5 hours
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you are warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred into the city to begin your Kenyan adventure. Your first experience introduces you to one of Nairobi’s most beloved conservation sites – the Giraffe Centre in the leafy suburb of Lang’ata. The short drive from the airport passes through the vibrant outskirts of the capital, revealing glimpses of daily Kenyan life before reaching the peaceful green environment of the centre. Here, visitors stand on a raised platform eye-to-eye with the endangered Rothschild giraffes, feeding them specially prepared pellets while learning about the important conservation efforts protecting this rare subspecies.
