Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrival transfer
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will proceed through immigration and customs before collecting your luggage. As you emerge into the arrivals hall, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari representative, who will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your comfortable hotel in Nairobi. The drive through the city introduces you to Kenya’s vibrant capital, where modern skyscrapers sit alongside green spaces and remnants of colonial architecture. Depending on your arrival time, the remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax after your journey or enjoy the hotel amenities as you prepare for your safari adventure ahead. Overnight at your hotel in Nairobi.
OvernightGolden Tulip Nairobi
Nairobi sits at a high altitude and enjoys mild temperatures, typically ranging between 12°C in the early morning and 24°C during the day. Roads within the city are paved, though traffic congestion is common during peak hours, making transfers steady but comfortable.
Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Drive time: 5+ hours
You rise early to a hearty breakfast at your Nairobi hotel before beginning your scenic journey toward the world-renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Leaving the city behind, the landscape opens into the Great Rift Valley and the vast plains of Maasailand, where you may spot Maasai herdsmen tending their cattle, goats, and sheep in harmony with nature. The journey is rich with changing scenery, from escarpments to rolling savannahs, before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. After a short rest, you head out for your first game drive across the Mara’s endless grasslands. During your stay, there is an opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai village at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
OvernightMara SopaMealsBreakfast, Lunch, Dinner
The Maasai Mara experiences daytime temperatures of about 20-28°C, cooling to around 10-14°C at night. Roads from Nairobi are partly tarmac and partly rough gravel; during dry seasons they are dusty, while during rainy periods some sections may be muddy and slow-going.
Day 3: Full Day Exploring the Maasai Mara
Full-day game drives
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the magnificent Maasai Mara on extensive game drives, with a packed lunch enjoyed in the wilderness. The reserve is famous for its dramatic wildlife encounters, particularly during the Great Wildebeest Migration from July to October, when vast herds cross from the Serengeti in search of fresh grazing. Lions, hyenas, and cheetahs closely follow the migration. The Mara is also home to the iconic black-maned lion, while cheetahs thrive in the open plains. As the day ends, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Drive time: 4+ hours
After breakfast, you depart the Maasai Mara and journey toward the Great Rift Valley, arriving in the Lake Naivasha area by late morning. Lunch is served at your lodge before optional afternoon activities, including a boat ride across Lake Naivasha and a guided walk on Crescent Island, available at an additional cost. Crescent Island Game Sanctuary hosts giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and waterbucks, while birdlife flourishes along the shores. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Drive time: 5+ hours
Following breakfast, you depart by road toward Amboseli National Park, enjoying scenic views as you travel south. Upon arrival, a game drive en route to your lodge introduces you to Amboseli’s unique ecosystem, dominated by open plains and wetlands sustained by underground springs from Mount Kilimanjaro’s melting snows. Lunch is served at the lodge before an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, many with impressive tusks, as well as an abundance of birdlife and other plains game. Dinner and overnight beneath the African sky.

Morning and afternoon game drives
You rise early this morning to catch the clearest views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds gather around its snow-capped summit. A morning game drive reveals Amboseli at its most atmospheric, with elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras and baboons moving across the plains. After breakfast, there is an opportunity to visit a Maasai village at an additional cost. You return to the lodge for lunch and a period of rest, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
