Commence your journey by arriving early at Entebbe Airport/Kajjansi Airfield, where you’ll catch a morning or afternoon flight to Kihihi airstrip. Upon landing at Kihihi, an experienced driver guide will welcome you and transfer you to your chosen lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda.

At 8:00 am, embark on a thrilling journey to locate mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The actual trek can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours, depending on factors such as trekking pace, terrain, and gorilla location. You’ll have a maximum of 1 hour to observe and appreciate the mountain gorillas while maintaining a respectful distance of 8-10 meters.

Return to your lodge for a leisurely afternoon, with lunch available if needed. In the evening, don’t miss the unique and unforgettable Batwa community visit. Learn about the distinctive lifestyles and traditions of the Batwa pygmies who peacefully coexisted with gorillas in Bwindi forest for over 500,000 years. Enjoy their traditional dances and musical performances, gaining a deeper understanding of their history before they left the forest in 1991 when Bwindi was gazetted as a national park.
