Early morning pickup from the airport and drive through super highway passing the small industrial town of Thika surrounded by extensive pineapple plantations. After crossing the Tana River, much source of Kenya’s hydro power, the landscape changes and becomes lusher as you climbing to the rich farmlands of the kikuyu people. Now in the Laikipia Area on our way to Ol-Pejeta conservancy.The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 km² not-for-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya’s Laikipia County. It is situated on the equator west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya.The Conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa; in 2013, it reached a population milestone of 100 black rhino. It also houses the two remaining northern white rhino in the world, who were moved there from Dvůr Králové Zoo in the Czech Republic. The Sweet waters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated here which provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned, and rescued chimpanzees. It is the only place in Kenya where chimpanzees can be seen.where you will have an opportunity to visit the Chimpanzee conservancy which was created after Joan Goudal a chimp primatologist was murdered in Congo, then the chimpanzees were relocated to Sweet Waters.Dinner and overnight

After breakfast proceed to cross the Aberdare range into Lake Nakuru.Here we can expect to see buffalo, rhino, giraffe, zebra, antelope and the lions that prey on them as well as vast flocks of flamingos clustered near the lake shore. Lake Nakuru is famous for having the highest concentration of flamingos in the world and is home to over three hundred bird species. It is a sanctuary for both the Black and White Rhinos.Also found in plenty are zebras, water bucks,buffaloes and warthogs. Leopards are sometimes seen sleeping on the horizontal branches of the “Fever trees”. Supper is at our lodge overlooking the lake.

After breakfast, we begin our exciting vacation by driving towards the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve,arguably one of the finest game reserves in Africa. continue to the enormous reserve which is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains and is well-known for its spectacular wildebeest migration. Itis the true home of the BIG FIVE: Lion, Elephant,Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo. Its name derives from the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, who still call the wide plains of Kenya and northern Tanzania

As we travel through Maasai land, we occasionally come across a solitary Maasai Moran (=Warrior) standing on one foot while herding hundreds of cows, goats and sheep.His only defense against the dangerous wildlife surrounding him to all sides is a single stick or spear!Upon arrival in the Maasai Mara, we comfortably take lunch at our camp before exploring the huge reserve on a late afternoon game drive. In the evening, we relax around the campfire and enjoy an excellent dinner.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
