Your adventure begins early in the morning as we pick you up from the hotel or guesthouse of your choice. We’ll embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park, with an exciting stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at the sanctuary before continuing our journey via Karuma Bridge. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive at Fort Murchison, just outside the park boundaries. Here, you can relax with a refreshing drink while soaking in the splendid view of the River Nile, as the African night comes to life.

Day 1 and 2:

Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Murchison Falls National Park. We’ll kick off the day early with a game drive from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, during which you’ll have the chance to spot various animals, including lions and giraffes. In the afternoon (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM), we’ll embark on an impressive launch trip on the Nile, taking you up to the Falls. This journey provides opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and an array of diverse bird species.

Setting off early in the morning, we’ll depart for Kibale National Park. Our route will take us near Lake Albert, offering breathtaking views on clear days. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at Kibale Forest Camp, where you’ll spend the night amidst the enchanting sounds of the tropical rainforest.

At 8:00 AM, our day begins with a 4-hour chimpanzee trek, during which you might also encounter 10 other primate species. Kibale Park is renowned for its diverse butterfly and bird populations. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Bigodi Swamp, home to a community-based project.

We’ll depart early in the morning for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our route takes us through Fort Portal, and by midday, we’ll arrive at The Bush Lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP, where you’ll check in and enjoy lunch. In the late afternoon (4:00 PM to 7:00 PM), we’ll embark on a game drive to encounter the park’s wildlife.

Today, we’ll embark on a game drive across the plains of Queen Elizabeth NP, where you’ll witness thousands of Ugandan kobs, lions, elephants, and more. The day also includes a two-hour launch trip on the Kazinga channel, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing from the waterside. In the evening, we’ll venture on a game drive to the Uganda Kobs’ mating grounds.

Early in the morning, we’ll depart for Kisoro, traveling through Kabale and experiencing the breathtaking landscapes often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” This journey offers stunning views of mountains, lakes, terraced hills, tropical rainforests, and bamboo forests. Upon reaching Kisoro, we’ll settle into the renowned Travellers Rest Hotel.

Today is the highly anticipated day of gorilla tracking. Departing from Travellers Rest Hotel in Kisoro, you’ll travel to Nkuringo or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. After a briefing, you’ll start the tracking adventure at 8:30 AM. Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll have up to one hour to observe and marvel at these incredible creatures. You should return to the starting point by 7:00 PM at the latest.

Day 9 is dedicated to exploring Kisoro and its surroundings, with Travellers Rest Hotel as your home base. You can choose from a variety of activities, including gorilla tracking in Mgahinga, gorilla tracking in Rwanda, volcano climbing, cave visits, bird walks, cultural village tours, hikes, and more. Alternatively, you can simply relax and read a book in the garden of Travellers Rest Hotel.

In the early morning after breakfast, we’ll commence our journey back to Kampala. Along the way, we’ll have lunch in Mbarara town and make a stop at the Equator for photos, souvenirs, and tea or coffee. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your chosen guesthouse, campsite, or hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Alternatively, if you’re continuing your journey elsewhere or heading back home, we can provide direct transportation to Entebbe airport.
