Day 1: Nairobi - Aberdares Drive time 4+ hours
Drive northwards through farmlands to reach Mt Kenya and the small town of Nyeri intime for lunch.In the early afternoon, drive through the forest to your tree hotel,where the night is spent high above the flood lit waterhole and salt lick. Frequent visitors are elephants, rhino, buffaloes and the giant forest hog.Overnight at camp/lodge
Day 2: Aberdares - Samburu Drive time 5+ hours
After breakfast, descend into the dry and rugged semi desserts of Samburu.The Samburu National Reserve Is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The parkis 165km² in size and is situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi. It ranges in altitude from800 to 1230m above sea level.Geographically, it is located in Samburu County.After lunch proceed for an afternoon gam drive The Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness, made famous in the best-selling bookand award-winning movie Born Free. The Elephant Watch Camp, of which Saba Douglas-Hamilton is director, lies within the park.The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves.Dinner and overnight in Samburu
Day 3: Samburu Reserve
- After breakfast, the day is spent exploring the reserve. There is a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve. Several large game species common to Kenya's northern plains can be found in abundance here, including the following dry-country fauna: gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, oryx and reticulated giraffe. All three big cats,the lion, cheetah and African leopard can also be found here, as well as the elephant,Cape buffalo and hippopotamus.
Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru National Park Drive Tome 6+ hours
Our destination today is Lake Nakuru National Park. Here we can expect to see buffalo,rhino, giraffe, zebra, antelope and the lions that prey on them as well as vast flocks of flamingos clustered near the lake shore. Lake Nakuru is famous for having the highest concentration of flamingos in the world and is home to over three hundred bird species.It is a sanctuary for both the Black and White Rhinos. Also found in plenty are zebras,waterbucks, buffaloes and warthogs. Leopards are sometimes seen sleeping on the horizontal branches of the “Fever trees”. Supper is at our lodge overlooking the lake
Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara Drive time 5+ hours
After breakfast, we begin our exciting vacation by driving towards the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve,arguably one of the finest game reserves in Africa. continue to the enormous reserve which is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains and is well-known for its spectacular wildebeest migration. It is the true home of the BIG FIVE: Lion, Elephant,Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo. Its name derives from the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, who still call the wide plains of Kenya and northern Tanzania Home. As we travel through Maasai land, we occasionally come across a solitary Maasai Moran(=Warrior) standing on one foot while herding hundreds of cows, goats and sheep.His only defense against the dangerous wildlife surrounding him to all sides is a singlestick or spear!Upon arrival in the Maasai Mara, we comfortably take lunch at our camp before exploring the huge reserve on a late afternoon game drive. In the evening, we relax round the campfire and enjoy an excellent dinner.
Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. This day of Safari adventure is exclusively spent in the Maasai Mara. We look out for the park's Big Cats, the Big Five and the abundance of wildlife and natural wonders found in Kenya's most famous game reserve. Remember to keep a sharp lookout; you may witness a dramatic hunt, a solitary Leopard retrieving its kill from the high branches of an acacia tree, or a herd of Elephants protecting their young from predators. The Maasai Mara has one of the richest wildlife ensembles in the world, hosting over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. Game viewing is never dull here, and patience is usually rewarded with unique sightings.
Day 7 Maasai Mara - Nairobi Drive Time 5+ hours
After an early morning breakfast we leave for Nairobi taking with us the fondest memories.
