    On this tour, you’ll journey from Nairobi to the Samburu National Reserve, making a stop at the Equatorial Crossing along the way. The Reserve is known for its diverse wildlife, including rare Northern species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, and Reticulated Giraffe. It is also home to over 900 elephants, a variety of large predators, and many bird species. You may even have a chance to spot wild dogs during your visit.

    Schedule Details

    Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu – Drive time 6+ hours

    Pick-up at 0600 hrs from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and headtowards Samburu via Thika, Nyeri, Nanyuki-Isiolo road. Short stopovers willbe made for use of restrooms, at the equator viewpoint, and for refueling of thetour vehicle. Check-in for lunch and rest in the afternoon at Samburu Simbalodges camp at 1330 hrs.Embark on an evening game drive from1630 hrs to 1800 hrs and then returnto camp for dinner and to sleep.

    Day 2: Samburu

    Before breakfast, set out for a game drive from 0600 hrs to 0830 hrs. Be on thelookout for the rare northern species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich,Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Vulturine Guinea Fowl, and the Beisa Oryx (alsoreferred to astheSamburuSpecial).Returntothecamp.Afterbreakfastoneisfreetoengageinpersonalrecreationalactivitiesuntillunchtime.Else,thetravelercouldjoinothergroupsforactivitiesorsetouttotakeadipintheBuffaloSprings.Afteraneveninggamedrivefrom1630hrsto1800hrs,checkbackatthecampfordinnerandsleepover.

    Day 3: Samburu - Nairobi Drive time 6+ hours
     

    Set out for an early morning game drive before breakfast from 0600 hrs to0800 hrs. Return to the camp for breakfast andto pack up your belongings.Leave for Nairobi at 1000 hrs.
